You have already read few lollypop recipes in my earlier posts. Today I am going to share a new lollypop recipe The Baby (corn) Lollypop. As the name suggests , its a lollypop made up of baby corn. I am sure you are going to love this.
Ingredients :
1. Baby corn- 6
2. Salt to taste
3. Potato- 2
4. Ginger-garlic paste- 1 tsp
5. Green chilly (chopped)-2
6. Cornflour- 2 large tbs
7. Coriander leaf- few
8. Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
9. Oil to deep fry
2. Salt to taste
3. Potato- 2
4. Ginger-garlic paste- 1 tsp
5. Green chilly (chopped)-2
6. Cornflour- 2 large tbs
7. Coriander leaf- few
8. Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
9. Oil to deep fry
10. Cheese- 1 cube
Procedure :
First boil the potatoes and the baby corn. Keep the baby corns aside. Now in a bowl add boiled and peeled potato , chilly , salt , turmeric , coriander and cornflour. Mix well. Break all the lumps formed. Add 2 to 3 tbs water to make the mixture sticky ( do not add more water or else the batter will not stick to the corns).
Now heat oil in a deep bottom pan. Take a medium ball size of the mixture and wrap it around the thick part of a baby corn. Give it a lollypop shape and press the mixture so that it does not fall off.
Now when the oil is ready , deep fry the lollypops one by one. Fry for 4 to 5 minutes until the surface turns crunchy. Keep them on paper napkin to remove excess oil and shred a little cheese on top of it.
Serve it hot with tomato ketch up.
